शुभ प्रभात ( Good Morning)

"ब्रह्म मुहूर्त (Brahma Muhurat)" is the time when it is said that Gods are supposed to be most active and praying and meditating during this time is supposed to be very deep and most fruitful.
Usually when we wakeup, we are already late, having shut alarm at least 3-4 times, so we just hurriedly come out of the bed and start running and this run continues till we again come back to the bed in the night and go into deep rest (I mean sleep :-) ).

The state when we have partially woken up, is supposed to be like a meditative state, so don't hurriedly get up and run, just relax and slowly and gradually come out of the state, it will make your day more relaxing.
In olden days when people used to wakeup, first they used to pray with their eyes closed and then first thing which they would do was to see their palms and while looking at their palms they used to chant.

"Karaagre Vasate Lakshmi Karamadhye Sarasvati,
Karamuule Tu Govinda Prabhaate Karadarshanam,
Samudravasane Devi Parvatastanamandale,
Vishhnupatni Namastubhyam Paadasparsham Kshamasva Me"

Meaning: The front part of the hands (the finger tips) is credited to Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth. The middle part or palm is credited to Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of learning and the root (the part of hand near the wrist) to Govinda. So, every morning, one should have a reverent look at one's hand which represents sincere labor. I bow to Mother Earth, who has mountains and jungles on her body and whose clothing is made by the ocean. The wife of Lord Vishnu, please pardon me for touching you with my feet.

How beautiful are all these slokas we have in our tradition and how deep is the meaning in them, we need to just wakeup and explore, infinity is nowhere but between those words.
